The project glossary brings together key terms, concepts, and definitions related to the project’s work and thematic areas. Use it as a reference to better understand the terminology used throughout the project and its resources.

RRA — Responsible Research Assessment	Assessing research and researchers on the full range of their contributions and quality, not narrow metrics alone.
CoARA — Coalition for Advancing Research Assessment	The Europe-wide coalition committed to reforming research assessment.
DORA — Declaration on Research Assessment	A global initiative to improve how research and researchers are evaluated.
Narrative CV	A structured, written account of a researcher’s contribution and its context, rather than a list of outputs and metrics.
Researcher profile	A verifiable, open-infrastructure record of a researcher’s contributions across outputs, data, software and roles.
Model policy	Adaptable policy text institutions can take into their own governance to embed responsible assessment.
ResearchComp	The European competence framework for researchers, used to align HR tools and career development.
KER — Key Exploitable Result	A project result with clear potential for use and uptake beyond the project.
Early Adopter Programme	ARION’s route for institutions beyond the pilots to test the interventions with structured support.
EOSC — European Open Science Cloud	Europe’s environment for sharing and reusing research data and services.
